ATHLETE FAQ
How do athletes participate?
It's really easy. Just submit a Prospex athlete application and upload a photo to be used on your school-specific digital trading cards. Once Prospex verifies your identity and eligibility to be on the platform (enrollment year, state NIL laws), your application will be approved and your digital trading cards will appear in the Prospex marketplace. Athletes, promote your Prospex cards via social media or other networks of enthusiastic friends and fans. Athletes receive 85% of revenue from cards sales that remain 'live' at the time of your college enrollment, or October 1, 2023, whichever is earlier. Remember athletes, Prospex is non-exclusive!
What happens if NIL deals are not allowed in the state I live in?
Except for a very few states (Texas, Kentucky, Delaware), athletes can submit an application to Prospex with confidence. To stay on the safe side, the game is designed so that athletes don't earn payment until after they are no longer subject to their state's rules on student athletes and NIL payments. We understand that a few states explicitly do not allow NIL deals for high school athletes at this time, however we encourage athlete to submit an application anyway. We will hold onto your application and approve it if/when those state laws are changed. We are here for you, so we won't do anything to jeopardize your eligibility.
Does Prospex conform to NCAA guidelines?
Prospex has designed its platform to be compliant with all NCAA guidelines regarding monetization of athlete NIL rights. Specifically, the Prospex platform is nothing more than a marketplace where prospective student athletes offer digital trading cards for sale based purely on their name, image and likeness, which is explicitly permissible under NCAA guidance. Compensation is not linked to enrollment at any specific institution, or on enrollment at all. Athlete compensation depends only on how many card sales remain 'live' at the close of the game. Prospex has no connection with any university, NIL collective, or boosters, and university athletic department or collective employees are allowed to participate in the game.

FAN FAQ
How do fans participate?
It's really easy. Create a profile and fund your wallet. Start exploring the Prospex marketplace and collect digital trading cards for your favorite athletes. Share with your crew, recruit other fans to join the game, and show your support for Prospex athletes. At the end of the season, turn in your cards to mint either a digital collectible or a physical trading card.
Can I trade in cards if I no longer want them?
Yes. If you are no longer interested in holding onto a card for one of our Prospex athletes, you can always trade them in for a 90% refund back to your wallet. And then jump back into the Prospex marketplace and explore other athletes that interest you. The stakes are low, and if you choose well, you could end up with the ultimate rookie card!
What is NIL and who makes the rules around what athletes and fans can do?
'NIL’ stands for Name, Image and Likeness. On July 1, 2021, the NCAA changed its rules to explicitly allow college athletes to earn money from their name, image and likeness, similar to professional athletes. High school governing bodies and state lawmakers make the rules around high school athletes’ ability to earn money from their NIL, but the rules differ state to state.
